Vintage: 18K Gold Wing Necklace with Diamond "Icarus"

The appeal of the wing motif is in its graceful and sweeping lines. This vintage gold wing necklace (once upon a time a stick pin) is finely crafted in 18 kt gold.

Each feather has been hand-chased causing it to reflect golden bits of light as it tilts and moves. The wing is topped with a small diamond, separately set in 18 kt white gold that adds another bit of sparkle. The pendant comes on one of our modern 18 kt gold chains (17 inches in length).

Wear it by itself, or mix and layer it with multiple chains and pendants.

We have named this necklace Icarus as a tribute to his wings. Unlike Icarus, it is just fine for this wing to be in the sun. In fact, the more light, the bigger the sparkle.

• The pendant is a little more than 1/3 inch wide and just under 1/2 inch in height.

• Marked 18 for 18K (tested for verification).

• The piece is in very good vintage condition. There are no condition issues. The chain in new.
